Police and Military Sniper Training

TSU provides Sniper Training to Military and Police departments. There is a four week basic Sniper Training course and a five week advanced Sniper Training course.

Basic Sniper Training

The basic sniper training course covers:

• The role of the sniper and the application of the sniper in a unit.
• Knowledge of the rifle and the telescope
• Basic marksmanship
• Set up of sniper rifle system
• Shooting positions
• Range and wind estimations

Advanced Sniper Training

Learners need to pass the basic course, before being accepted on the advanced sniping course. This course covers:

• Advance marksmanship
• Advance shooting principles (angle shooting, shooting through mediums)
• Moving targets
• Target identification
• Rural sniping
• Urban sniping
• Counter sniping techniques
• Planning
